I was just thinking about how much I love Gershwin, when all of the sudden, I heard a trumpet playing a famous excerpt from An American in Paris (I’m at a music school right now).  This song has always been one of my favorite Gershwin tunes, with it’s sweet sweeping melody and delicate lyrics.  My absolute favorite version of all time is on the Joshua Bell album, Gershwin Fantasy.

Here’s another song to help you get your Gershwin fix for the day…it’s my cousin, Benjamin Salisbury, playing ‘S Wonderful.
